Find a Startup Job is an independent project. Contributor roles are voluntary and unpaid.

How you can help

There are plenty of ways to contribute

You don't need to be a developer. If you have a skill, an idea or access to a community that could make Find a Startup Job better, we'd like to hear from you.

Marketing

Help us improve our messaging, develop campaigns, create content or find better ways to reach people looking for startup jobs.

Distribution

Help us introduce Find a Startup Job to relevant communities, universities, newsletters, startup groups and other places where candidates and founders spend their time.

Development

Help build or improve a feature, fix something that isn't working, improve accessibility, performance or the general experience of using the site.

Sales & Outreach

Help us connect with founders, startups, hiring teams, accelerators, communities and organisations that could benefit from Find a Startup Job.

Product & UX

Help us make the platform easier to use. This could include job search, startup discovery, filters, navigation, mobile experience or an entirely new feature.

Content & Research

Help us research startups, understand candidate behaviour, produce useful content or improve the information available through the platform.

You don't need to become a regular contributor

Contributing doesn't mean committing hours every week. You can contribute in whatever way makes sense for you.

If you make a meaningful contribution to Find a Startup Job, we'd like to make sure you receive credit for it.

Contributors can be listed publicly on our Contributors page with their:

  • Name
  • Area of contribution
  • Description of what they worked on
  • Personal website, portfolio or LinkedIn profile
  • Contributor profile on Find a Startup Job

This gives you something tangible you can reference on your CV, portfolio or LinkedIn profile.

Participation on the Contributors page is completely optional.

There are no required hours and no expectation of ongoing work.

You choose what you would like to contribute and how involved you would like to be.

If the project develops into something where a contribution becomes an ongoing commercial role, that would be discussed separately rather than treated as a voluntary contribution.
