Employer Terms
Version 2026-09-17
These Employer Terms govern startups that advertise vacancies on Find a Startup Job. By publishing a job you confirm you are authorised to advertise a genuine vacancy, that the information is accurate and current, and that the role complies with applicable employment and equality law.
Listings stay live for 30 days from publication unless you close, temporarily unpublish, or renew them earlier. Temporary unpublishing hides the vacancy from public listings without extending the original 30-day window or application-retention deadline. Find a Startup Job may remove listings that breach these terms or applicable law.
Candidate data and applications
Candidate information made available through Find a Startup Job may only be used for the recruitment process relating to the vacancy for which the candidate submitted their application.
You must keep candidate information secure and restrict access to people who reasonably require it for that recruitment process.
You must not sell, disclose or provide candidate information obtained through Find a Startup Job to other employers, recruiters, recruitment agencies or unrelated third parties except where necessary for the recruitment process and permitted by applicable law.
You may temporarily unpublish a vacancy. While unpublished, the role is not publicly visible and does not accept new applications, but you may continue to access applications already received for that vacancy through Find a Startup Job until the original expiry deadline or until you permanently close the vacancy, whichever occurs first. Unpublishing does not restart or extend the publication or retention window.
When a vacancy is permanently closed, expires, or reaches the end of its retention window on Find a Startup Job, you must stop using and securely delete candidate CVs, application documents and other personal data obtained through Find a Startup Job once you no longer require them for the relevant recruitment process. Permanent closure triggers deletion of platform-held application data for that vacancy.
After a vacancy is closed, you may permanently delete the job posting from Find a Startup Job. Permanent deletion removes the job record and remaining job-specific platform data. It cannot be undone and does not restore previously purged applications.
You must not retain candidate information for unrelated vacancies, a general talent pool or future recruitment unless:
- you have clearly informed the candidate of that separate purpose; and
- you have an appropriate lawful basis for retaining and using that information.
You may retain limited candidate information where reasonably necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Information retained for those limited purposes must not be used for general recruitment or marketing and should be securely deleted when that purpose no longer applies.
This page is a working draft. Full Employer Terms wording still requires legal review before production use.
